Sarah Bayliss was a Dorset-based artist but is now working from her gallery in France. She was exhibiting, with huge success in Covent Garden in London which led to her exhibiting in Switzerland for several years, a country that just loves cows. She has now moved to France to pursue her career and is, I must add, very happy indeed!
She specialises in acrylics on canvas and paints animals with character. Her collection consists of farmyard animals with cows, ducks, horses, alpacas, sheep, lambs and pigs. It also includes chickens, fox and a stag. Her more recent paintings are elephants, zebras, a tiger and now even a salamander for her new French collection and a limousine cow will shortly be joining the list. Sarah is a member of The Fine Art Trade Guild. Her work is now available as Limited Edition Giclee Prints, bone china mugs, tableware, glass chopping boards, cotton aprons, cushions, shopping bags and various stationery items.
Sarah Bayliss studied art at Lord Digby's Grammar School in Sherborne and went on to study art and design in London, where she was awarded with Distinctions for both domestic and commercial interior design.
Sarah also holds further qualifications in art and decorative painting techniques and has over 35 years of experience in property design and development, renovation and decorating. In order to pursue her passion, Sarah established her own design practice based on the Somerset/Dorset border.
Due to demand Sarah is now working on a full-time basis as an artist with her work now in print and on display in several galleries and retail outlets. Sarah herself will be working and exhibiting in her gallery in Terrasson, in the Dordogne, France.
